Plain White T’s

Posted by: davidejackson at 10:35 pm

After a very long 8 hour day of shooting in 90 degree+ temperatures, I rounded out the evening with the Plain White T’s at the Fox Cities Performing Art Center. Many thanks go out to Jeff Bricco from Start To Finish Productions, Gerald at the PAC and all the guys in the Plain White T’s. Thanks for hanging out! Here are a few excerpts from the show…

For those who aren’t familiar with the Plain White T’s, they landed the number one spot on the Billboard charts. You can hear their tunes HERE on MySpace. I shot a few promos for them, and even landed myself as the 6th (and balding) band member. HAHA!

Best,

Every once in a while I find that I hit a turning point with my photography work. Usually, these moments come once every nine to twleve months. As awkward as it is to talk openly about, these moments are pretty emotionally impacting and spiritually breathtaking. It’s a time in my career development that I fully realize that I have gone to the next level creatively. I live for these experiences.

June 30th was one of these pinnacle times in my still young career as a photographer. From the moment I met Tina Marie during our first meeting at Copper Rock, I knew that the experiences we were going to share was the foundation for a lasting friendship. We clicked right away. And we continued to share this vibrant inspiration with each other throughout the entire wedding process. Shooting with Tina and Luke was as natural as going over to an old friend’s house for beer, pizza and a movie.

Truly, Luke and Tina share their lives with each other in such an amazing way. They each live life to the fullest and in a very honest way. Without a doubt, it was one those timeless story book weddings. Filled with laughter, tears and most importantly…. LOVE. For me, this is what shooting weddings is all about.

I’m not going to post any of their photos here on my blog. Instead, I’ll direct you to the wedding highlights website. I want the photos to run together as a story; not as random blog post of photos.

Click HERE to view the photos!

Please take some time to learn more about Tina Marie and her inspirational message HERE!

Enjoy!

Brooke and Ethan.

Awesome shoot! Shot at Pamperin County Park in Green Bay. Brooke and Ethan were great to hang with. We even managed to get away without getting too many HUGE TOOTH GRINS from Ethan.

Pete.

Having been picked up as a first round draft choice for Wisconsin Badgers football, I was determined to set the tone with his senior class photos. It took a little bit, but Pete found his groove with my style of shooting… For anybody who knows me, Pete actually made me feel small. These photos don’t do his size any justice!!

I’m off to Door Co. in the morning to shoot a cool A$$ wedding! I’m stoked~!~!~!

Â

Run out to Barnes & Nobles and pick up to Fall/Winter 2007 edition of Wisconsin Bride Magazine. I was featured in the magazine, both on the Bon Voyage page (with my favorite shot from Scott and Stephanie’s wedding) and in a cool article about coffee table books for wedding clients. I contributed the photos and was interviewed for the article! I gotta say, this is one cool magazine! Expect more of my work to appear in upcoming issues!
