Meghan came to work with me for all the right reasons. She wanted to stray away from the over-done senior portraits that everybody at Neenah High School seems to get plagued with. Leaning on a tree, hanging out with a musical instrument, standing on railroad tracks…. and the list goes on, and on and on….and on… Simply put, that’s not how I roll.

Not content to settle, Meghan came into the her senior shoot willing to stray from the norm and let her creativity free. From walking into the Fox River to being assaulted by her beloved Beanie Babies (yeah, she too is a die hard nerd), we ended up killing the shoot in what seemed like a very short three hours. She even rounded out the evening with this amazing 40′s era dress, that she hand-made…

It was awesome working with Meghan, because she came to table with an open mind to the possibilities of creating incredible photographs. And for this reason I am always so inspired by my clients, allowing me to push the creative envelope with each exposure.

More photos can be seen HERE at her rad website!

For those of you whom know me well, I’m a huge horror movie genre enthusiast. Of course, I’m not about the cheesy typical B-rated films. But of all the classic horror films out there, the original 1978 film Halloween is by far the best to date. I’m not entirely sold on remakes of the timeless classics, such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amityville Horror, Psycho, etc.. But of all the recent horror filmmakers, Rob Zombie is the modern-day John Carpenter. He takes the genre to a who new level.

I can’t wait until August 31st! Rob Zombie is releasing his “interpretation” of the 1978 classic, HALLOWEEN. Yes, an interpretation; not a remake. Rob Zombie is a brilliant film maker, not to mention a decent musician (if you like heavy music..). This is gonna be good!

Visit the Halloween 2007 website HERE and watch the trailer….

Even in my exhausting schedule, I’ve still found time to work on my series of abandoned photography. Many people have been expressing their desire to see more of this kind of work from me lately. Sure, it’s few and very very far between. But I managed to shoot these at an undisclosed location while on vacation last week.

Yes, www.simpledirty.com is still very much in the works. Lots of surprises are in-store for the site, with work that even my closest “explorer” friends haven’t even seen yet… With luck, the site will launch by the end of the year. But as all things fun from me, don’t hold your breath…

Wow, a few days away and everything can really fall apart…..! I just got back from a much needed vacation with Melanie, Tobin and Zoee. After working the past six months, through nearly 80+ hour weeks, the past 12 days has been very deserved. And more importantly, deserved for my wife and girls! They come first in my life, and we decided to make the time.

What did we do you ask? We went camping at Jellystone Park in Fremont, WI. It was a ton of fun. Tobin even caught her very first fish! Sure it was a small Rock Bass, but her eyes were the size of golf balls…

Over the past two weeks, I’ve been pulling my hair out over major issues with my web hosting. I’ve realized it’s time to drop my web hosting. I have to thank them for crashing my entire site, deleting my recent posts to my blog and not allowing me access to my email for more than a week. This makes it all the more frustrating to make up for lost ground after coming home from vacation. Arrrrrgh!!!!!!!

I apologize to everybody that had to wait for a reply to an inquiry or tried to access my site/blog. It seems the issues have been resolved for now. Thank you to everybody for their patience!

Check out Breanna and Luke’s wedding below!

This post was obviously deleted the day after I posted it (and yes, while on vacation….so this is old). Why? Because my domain server crashed. Thank you Web Hosting People! Thanks for failing me once again!

Here are some shots from Breanna and Luke’s wedding from June 23rd. I love these guys to death! I wish I could retype the three paragraphs about their story (that I had written last week), but due to terrible web hosting and a completely deleted/crashed website, I’m at a lose for words at the moment.

I’ll let their photos speak for themselves. Enjoy!

More photo highlights and a rad slideshow can be seen HERE.
