For those of you who know me well, or for that matter have been on a shoot with me, know that my crew and I love to have fun. Without it, my work wouldn’t be half as good. And although I often design the humor from behind the lens, I decided it was time for me to be the model for a change, yet still maintain my inner true humorous self.

And what better time to do it, when I was in desperate need of shaving my beard. I wouldn’t exactly say I shaved my beard, but rather “modified” it for a few hours.

So I called Adam up and had him shoot the photos, in which I orchestrated the technical end of things, i.e. lighting, exposure, post-production. Adam was spot on with his composition, which made these photos amazing!

Special thanks to Tim for bringing us out to his grandparents farm, somewhere in Wisconsin… and to Trevor for helping out on the shoot!

Here are few shots from tonight, the day after the big shave. I clean up quite well, don’t you think? Thanks to Rob for hanging out with me and shooting some photos.

Happy Memorial Day!

Today, more so than in the past… I’ve felt a deeper respect for this day and it’s meaning to me. We are all blessed with things we take for granted on a day-to-day basis. It’s simply the way life presents itself to us, but it’s up to all of us to reflect on the moments that seem to pass us by so quickly.

I’ve been so blessed for having an amazing family, solid faith, my art and a country that stays true to the meaning of freedom. I’m utterly lucky to have the ability to make such a drastic career change in my life and the chance to succeed, all on my own terms.

Regardless if a specific day has to be named as a holiday in order to remember these blessings… try to remember everyday is a gift. Remember those of us, who are across seas, standing up for our freedom and our ability to exist with so much potential!

Here are some shots I took today of my girls. I took the past two days to enjoy the beautiful weather and my gorgeous ladies! We even broke out the sprinkler!!!

Not a bruise…. but dirt on Zoee’s face. She decided to help mom in the garden today.

For those long time blog stalkers, ya’ll may remember Todd and Tina from THIS POST. I “re-shot” their wedding photos a little less than a year ago. Well, since then… they are now expecting a brand new baby boy! Who else to shoot the maternity photos other than me? I think they are even giving me a pager so I can meet them at the hospital to shoot the new arrival. Well, no pager. But I’m expecting a call any day!

It was good to catch up with my ol’ friends again!
