Jeff & Katie – 35mm redux!
Rob has a true-to-life darkroom for processing B&W film. (For those of you who don’t know what film is, it a a flimsy piece of plastic that loads into an old camera that is typically found in a canister. You actually have to use a thing called a light meter and it’s not possible to see the results on the back of the camera.) Well, Rob and I shot 35mm film at Jeff & Katie’s wedding last weekend. Rob processed the film at home. Nope, we didn’t run to a one-hour lab. Rob did it himself. I’ve once again found the true excitement of shooting 35mm again! Not to mention I picked up a bunch of REALLY expired 35mm film at Shooting Star Photo and got my hands on some expired Elite Chrome at Rob’s house tonight. I can’t wait to shoot it all up!
Below are two hands-down AMAZING shots Rob took while shooting on location. The shots look odd, as a result of the D76 film developer solution missing some of the film emulsion. I think these would look KILLER printed to canvas!
Jon Canlas…. EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!!! I love you buddy! I should have listened…. Film Is NOT Dead. See you in Hawaii? OK, I’ll settle for Chicago..
