I was sceptical and hesitant about the new Canon 5D Mark II, as I have a general distaste for “prosumer” DSLR cameras. But after following Vincent LaForet’s blog for some time now, I think I have changed my mind. The below link is video taken by LaForet, from a pre-production 5D Mark II. The video is truly jaw-dropping. See for yourself.

Seeing as how Adam, Rob, Trevor and I have been doing video work to accompany some of my recent shoots (more on that soon), the 5D2 will make a nice addtion to my gear. I’m hoping to pre-order one as soon as they become available.

Marshmallow FLUFF!

There is some amount of back story here, but the short version is this. Tony Pulsone (a wedding photography forum “e-friend” of mine) has been sending out “Fluff” periodically to various members on the board. Here in Wisconsin, Fluff is a little know item consisting of this amazing sugary substance, known only in dreams. Especially for kids…

If you’ve never had Fluff before, you have no clue what you’re in for. Tony has been more than gracious with uniting some of the most talented photographers in the biz with white, heavenly marshmallow goodness. Thank you Tony!

I shot these for a post on the forum. Tobin rocked the shoot, beginning to end! The message went something like this:

“Dear Mr. Pulsone,

Thank you for keeping me up ALL NIGHT LONG.

Your friend for a lifetime,
