I still have it in me. Errr, at least some cops think I do!

I was recently asked to shoot some updated personnel photos for the Fox Valley Metro Police Department. When asked, I jumped on the opportunity. Aside from the headshot session, I took part in the the officer’s Oath of Office ceremony as it’s National Police Week. It was pretty dang cool to still have a place within the local law enforcement scene after my 14-year career as a police officer. Not only that, but having shot for four local agencies I am able to finally give cops around my area a much needed “facelift.”

We moved through nearly 30 officers in less than 15 minutes, Run N’ Gun style. Shot on-location at FVMPD. Gone are the days of cheesy backgrounds from 1987. When in doubt, roll out the white seamless..

Yes, cops need instructions. Alot. Like where to stand (notice the gaffer’s tape square on the floor.)

KMC (aka Knukulhead Emcee) flippin’ the script in Appleton last night. Out came the turntables, mixer, speakers and mics. We made a pretty decent scene at a big intersection downtown while shooting, drawing plenty of attention from bystanders. And I kid you not, KMC spit out a lyric about me in one of his songs on his new record. The tune is on constant loop in my head at the moment…

And no, we did not need an ambulance on this shoot! It’s Adam. He draws the attention…

Gone are the days of two turntables and a mic. This baby is an all-digital iPod capable mixing unit.

Thanks to my good friend Brett, I had to pick off roughly 9 wood ticks from my clothing and skin tonight. Apparently May is the height of the “tick season” in Wisconsin. We got out to the Town of Matteson just outside of Clintonville to shoot some SIMPLE+DIRTY work. This was the very first time I ever witnessed someone actually fall through a floor. Brett hit a mushy spot in one of the front rooms, driving his leg into the basement up to his knee. Scary stuff. Luckily, he made it out unharmed. Next time bro, watch your step.
