TWO LONG WEEKS, ONE HUGE PHOTO PURGE..
Trevor and I have been going non-stop for the past two weeks. If we weren’t out on daily shoots, traveling out of state, crashing in hotel rooms and editing down the goods, we have spent countless hours networking, meeting some amazing folks, marketing to the wedding world, corporate work, seniors and re-evaluating our business plan for 2010. We have put in long hours, lost sleep and yet managed to find precious time for family amidst the settling dust.
But it has been worth it. We are utterly excited for the coming year and the HUGE things we have in the works. Trevor and Melanie have pretty much kept it all glued together when I was buried in the ground up to my eyeballs in it all.
I figured it was about time I shared some of what we have been up to lately. Lots of photos, some behind the scenes peeks and some juvenile nonsense.

We traveled to Dubuque, Iowa last week to shoot Laura and Erik’s wedding. I have known Laura ever since my first commercial shoot with Loras College in which she has become a face for their promotional material. Aside from shooting the wedding, we were able to get out, spread our wings and enjoy the weekend to it’s fullest extent.

On Friday night we hooked up with Jordan from Matter, a non-profit organization for the arts in Dubuque. Cool store, amazing dude. After spending an hour with him, we landed a new conceptual project with his organization.

Incredible storms rolled through that night..

Rolling our gear into the hotel.

To our surprise, our dear friends in the Blueheels were playing in Dubuque. We got out to shoot some one-off promo shots of them in between sets.

Trevor having a quiet moment at the wedding while Laura was getting dressed.

Setting up the ring shots.

At work.

Well, not really…

After the wedding on Saturday night we got out to see Sean Walsh and The National Reserve. AWESOME, AWESOME band from Brooklyn, NY. We hooked up some promo shots after their set. At 1:30 in the AM.

And when you hang with Sean Walsh, be prepared for injuries. This is my arm..

Special thanks to Dubuque photographer Graeme Pitman for hanging out with us that night.

On that note, I’m out for the weekend to go camping with my wife and girls. Keep it real. Stay safe.
