Last night I had the pleasure of working with the Seeking Focus Photography Association, a local photography group based in Appleton, conducting an on-location shoot. Although I am not directly affiliated with group, I have been invited to speak to the group on a few occasions over the past two years. We had 23 photographers show up for the shoot, which was quite impressive, including a handful of new faces. We covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time, talking about the use of creative lighting on-location. Everybody had the opportunity to get in on the action after breaking up into smaller shooting groups to work with different models. Most everyone walked away with a little nugget of brand-spanking new information and hopefully had a revived spark of creativity.
Many thanks go out to Katie, Nora and Phil for being great models and helping out with the shoot!

Great meeting you thanks for all the pointers.
Hi Dave,
Just curious if this is a group anyone can join? I am from Oshkosh area and have been interested in joining a photography group but didn’t know of any in the area. Do they have a website or do yo know of where I could get more information on the Seeking Focus Photography Association?
Thanks
Sabrina

Sorry, I missed it! Looks like it was a good time.
Sabrina…there is also the Oshkosh Photography Group. It’s got a different flavor than Seeking Focus but also worth checking out.
