Dave, congratulations! Love the photos, especially the two of the bridal parties. Just curious, when photographing bigger groups like that, what do you do to ensure everyone is in focus? For example, where do you focus? Also, with low ambient light, it is usually difficult to get shutter speeds & apertures that will give you sharpness “throughout”. Is this where the use of big lights comes into play? I figure this would allow you to stop down to f5.6, f8, f11, or similar, and would still let you use a higher shutter speed & still let you get enough power out of your lights. Just curious =)

Hope all is well, and look forward to seeing more your last portfolio shoot.

    Cheers,
    Alim

Oh Dave! I KNEW you’d win something SOMEwhere. You captured the essence of Stephanie and Andy’s wedding and the exact things I was noticing during the entire day – the parts were the sum total of one very special day. This photo was one of the ones I enjoyed of Stephanie with her Dad. Kudos to you for being recognized for this by an INTERNATIONAL group (as this wedding was also an international event). You are so deserving!
