DANI | CANON 1D MARK IV

Posted by: davidejackson at 8:56 pm

Five hours of shooting today with our model Dani at two locations, all available light. Some 1000+ photos later and we added a handful of new photos to our portfolio. Good day IMHO. Special thanks to our stylist Jai Schmidt of www.refashionedbyjai.com and our friends Tanya and Chuck for hooking us up with their homes.

(Shot on a Canon 1D Mark IV, near dusk. All natural light coming in from outside. ISO 10,000, F/2.8, 1/100th.)

    Dave,

Thanks for sharing this. Great to see some ‘natural light’ images cos it reminds me, if not gives me a bit of kick up the but to do more of them. The majority of my work does involve bringing in artificial light at some point or another so having read this, I’m prompted to organise a ‘personal’ shoot where only ‘natural light is allowed.

Will you be sharing more images from this shoot at all?

    Thanks again,
    All the best to you,
    Glyn

Dear Freak’n Lord – ISO 10,000 ?!?! Are you trying to rip a whole in the space?!

@Glyn – I do not plan to showcase more of the photos, due to the majority of it will be displayed in my portfolio at the end of the year. But yeah, I too need to get out and shoot more available light!

That looks about equivalent to iso600 on my old 50D. Gorgeous.

Who would of thought ISO 10,000 a few years ago. It’s amazing how fast technology is changing. Nice image, I’ll have to take a look at the portfolio to see the others.

The only place I can really see the effects of the high ISO are on Dani’s top, on her left side, in the shadow area. Very impressive…thanks for sharing!

So I can throw out/sell my strobes and buy a new camera. Nice image. Hard to believe at 10,000 ISO. Also, any idea where that sweater is from? I love it. Thanks for sharing.
